Main Points

This page is under heavy testing. Don't expect it to make much sense at this point, but if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear from you. For more information check out our explanation of the code for new textbox classes.

Generating Textboxes from Custom Classes

This is my study in how to build the column form demo dynamically. If I can pull information from the database and automatically manipulate that output from other functions or data, I'll have a highly flexible, dynamic set of views which are a lot more flexible and consistent than the BCL classes. Note that this page focuses purely on textbox creation and its variations. While I will look at checkboxes and radio buttons next, they are currently hardcoded on the server side. Only the textboxes are driven by new classes.

I'm now looking at developing code to manage all instances of my textboxes.

Column Form Test
  • This is explanatory text in cases where the textbox may require special formatting like a date, 04/25/2005.
